Making Printer Settings for Specific Applications
Note
❒ General users can change the settings in an application's 
[Print]
 dialog.
A
Select the application's 
[Print]
 command on the 
[File]
 menu.
The 
[Print]
 dialog opens.
B
Make sure that the displayed printer name is the printer you want to use,
and then click 
[Properties]
.
The Default Document Properties dialog appears.

Printer Properties' Tabs and Their Settings
This section describes the settings of the tabs that are specific for this printer. 
Note
❒ The 
[General]
[Port]
[Scheduling]
[Sharing]
, and 
[Security]
 tabs are Windows
NT4.0 standard tabs. See the documentation that comes with your Windows
operating system for details.
Limitation
❒ Changing the settings in the 
[Printers]
 window requires full control access
rights. Log on as an Administrator or a Power Users group member.
[Device Settings] Tab
The current setting appears in the lower part of the dialog when you click a set-
ting item. Select the setting you want to make for the selected item.
Available PostScript Memory
Shows the amount of memory installed on the printer. Normally you do not
need to change this setting.
