Model 5000AH Chassis Slot Restrictions
Your Model 5380 or Model 5580 router has an orange caution tag attached to
warn you to install router modules only in slots 6 through 14 of a Model
5000AH chassis with a parallel packet express (PPX

Do not install router modules in slot 1 or slot 4 of a Model 5000AH chassis.
WARNING:
Installing a router module in slot 1 of a Model 5000AH chassis
will damage the chassis clock module. Installing a router module in slot 4 of a
Model 5000AH chassis will damage the router power supply.
