Dialing into a Router through the System 5000 Service Port
The System 5000 service port has a male DB-9 connector that supports 3-wire
RS-232 signal (transmit, receive, and ground) with data leads for serial
asynchronous use only. To dial into the service port, set clear to send (CTS) and
data set ready (DSR) on your modem to “Forced On.” Refer to your modem
reference guide for instructions in setting these parameters to the values listed
