You cannot execute any command on the SMB, and you need to perform configurations through
the command line interface on the AMB, which will synchronize the configurations to the SMB.
When you upgrade an S7900E switch, ensure that the software versions of the AMB and the SMB
are the same, and you need to reboot the entire device after upgrading the switch.

the AMB and SMB are not consistent, the SMB cannot be started. You can follow the steps below to
disable the system from checking the version of the SMB.

SMB
ha slave-ignore-version-check
Required
The version check of the SMB
is enabled by default.

If the software versions of the AMB and SMB are greatly different, or the software difference affects the
use of the device, even if the ha slave-ignore-version-check command is configured, the SMB will not
necessarily be started normally. Therefore, to ensure the normal operation of the device, you are
recommended to use the same software version for the AMB and SMB.

Restarting the SMB
You can manually restart the SMB. However, before restarting the SMB, you need to check whether the
versions of the AMB and SMB are consistent. By default, if the versions of the AMB and SMB are not
consistent, the SMB cannot be restarted; to restart the SMB in case that their versions are not
consistent, configure to ignore version check of the SMB.
Follow these steps to manually restart the SMB:
