Halting Backups
Backups are interrupted if the robotic assembly, sometimes referred to as a picker,
malfunctions, because tapes cannot be moved to or from drives. Also, backups cannot

Use your backup software to stop any backups running to the library. You can restart
them once the robotic assembly has been replaced, the library has been powered on,

Preparing the Library

Use the LC to verify that all drives are empty and do not contain media;

Look through the library’s front to verify that the robotics are not moving; the

From the LC’s toolbar menu, select Maintenance > Diagnostics. The Diagnostics
