Configuring AutoSupport
If you have any questions about configuring AutoSupport, contact 
SpectraGuard Technical Support (see 
).
Note:
To simplify entering the information required to configure and 
use AutoSupport, use the RLC or a keyboard attached to the LCM.
Before You Begin
Before you configure AutoSupport, Spectra Logic recommends connecting 
the library to an email gateway. You will need the following:
ƒ Connect a10BaseT/100BaseT Ethernet cable to the Ethernet connector 
on the LCM).
ƒ Obtain the library’s IP address, subnet, and gateway address.
ƒ Obtain the AutoSupport Customer/Contract Number for the library.
Configure Mail Recipients
If not already completed, configure the mail recipients who should receive 
AutoSupport information. At a minimum, configure SpectraGuard 
Technical Support (autosupport@spectralogic.com) as a mail recipient if 
you want to send AutoSupport ticket requests to SpectraGuard Technical 
Support. If desired, you can configure additional recipients as well. 
Note:
The autosupport@spectralogic.com mail recipient is only used to 
open support tickets. It cannot be selected to receive auto-
generated messages.
Note:
AutoSupport can be used without email access by saving the 
information generated by AutoSupport to a USB key and then 
manually sending the stored information to SpectraGuard 
Technical Support.
