3. If you want to enable Automatic Drive Cleaning in this data partition, 
use the Cleaning Partition drop-down list to select a previously created 
cleaning partition (see 
). If 
you do not want to enable Automatic Drive Cleaning, select None.
Note:
The option to select a cleaning partition is only available if you 
entered an Automatic Drive Cleaning license key and 
configured a cleaning partition.
4. Select Next to the Partition Users screen and configure the partition 
users as described in the Spectra T950 Library User Guide.

Configuring SmartMotion•  Options
When creating a partition, you can configure how the transporter handles 
the TeraPack magazine when it receives a command to move media.
1. Advance through the partition creation screens until you reach the 
Partition Users screen. 
2. After you select the users who are allowed access to this partition and 
select Next. The SmartMotion Options screen displays.
ƒ Default – The transporter carries the TeraPack magazine with it as it 
moves the cartridge to the destination location.
ƒ Optimize for CommVault – The transporter retrieves the desired 
cartridge from the TeraPack magazine, returns the magazine to its 
storage chamber, and then moves the cartridge to the destination 
location.
3. Select Next to continue to the Robotic Path Visibility screen.
4. Continue configuring the partition as described in the Spectra T950 
Library User Guide.
Confirm and Save Partition Settings
After you finish configuring the partition, confirm and save the partition.
1. If you want to save the configuration to a USB memory device, connect 
the device to the USB port on the LCM before continuing.Select 
whether to save the current library configuration.
