Caveats
This section describes resolved and open caveats for client utility release 2.22 and driver release 2.22 for
Windows CE.
Resolved Caveats
The following caveats are resolved in client utility release 2.22 and driver release 2.22.
Launching ACU Generates Missing File Error Message
When you launch ACU on a Windows CE 3.0 device, the following message appears, “Cannot find
Aironet Client Utility (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that
the required libraries are available” (CSCdw60793). This caveat is resolved in client utility release 2.22.
Site Survey Tool May Show a Percent Retries Value Greater Than 100%
In the Site Survey Tool (SST) utility, the Percent Retries field on the Site Survey - Active Mode screen
shows a value greater than 100% if the number of retries exceeds the number of packets sent
(CSCdw03435). This caveat is resolved in client utility release 2.22. The formula used to calculate the
Percent Retries value has been changed to (number of retries x 100) / (number of retries + number of
packets sent). Now this value cannot exceed 100%.
Client Adapter Installed in Compaq Ipaq Loses Ability to Communicate with Access Point
A client adapter installed in a Compaq Ipaq eventually loses its ability to communicate with an access
point because the MAC address under the NetworkAddress registry entry changes (CSCdy27216).
Modifications to the power-down and power-up routines were made to resolve this caveat in driver
release 2.22.
DHCP Process Is Too Long with LEAP Enabled
The DHCP process takes over 60 seconds on a Windows CE device when LEAP is enabled
(CSCdx45000). This caveat is resolved in driver release 2.22.
