Using VMS Portal Role-based Access Control (RBAC), you can segregate responsibilities, restrict access
and grant only the amount of access to users that they need to perform their tasks. To view and manage the
different roles available, click Roles from the left pane.

In addition, the administrator can perform the following tasks:

• Click Login As Customer and choose a customer, user to login, view and perform the tasks in the Cisco

VMS Portal as a customer. To return to the administrator view, click Return to operator view at the
top of the window.

• Click Component Versions and view the component version details of all the VMS components such

as component name, build version, build number, and the component version creation date.

• Click Roles and view the tasks that can be performed by the Administrator, Consumer-Administrator,

API Administrator, Operator, and Consumer-User.

• Click Settings and perform the following tasks:

• Click Provider and specify the name, email ID, and locale of the provider.

• Click Contact Us and enter the sales and technical support contact details of the service provider.

Click Save.

• Click Currency and select the currency type you want. Click Save.

• Click Language and select the language you want. Click Save.

• Click Integrations to configure notification, REST and Outbound APIs.

• Click Terms and Conditions to define and maintain the terms and conditions for the services

offered by Cisco VMS Portal.

• Click Announcements to create an announcement for displaying the messages such as planned

maintenance alert and technical issues. For more details see,

section.

• Click Web Analytics to monitor user analytics. This enables you to use Google Analytics to

understand user behavior, and potentially optimize the User Experience.

Managing Cisco VMS Portal includes maintaining services and operating, performed by the administrator
and operator respectively.
