Cisco VMS Service Portal enables Service Provider level 1 (L1) and level 2 (L2) operators to manage and
monitor the virtual networking services offered to the tenants. When the service performance is degraded
for a tenant, the tenant can reach out to the operator to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. The operator uses
the Customers and Services windows to locate a service instance that has issue, and check the history of
its performance metrics, and other service details from the Cisco VMS Assurance subsystem that can be
used to isolate and resolve the issue. As an administrator, you can add the new customer details in the Cisco
VMS portal.

We use the term Portal and Service Interface interchangeably, however, VMS portal functionality includes
the UI as well as the APIs that the UI uses.

The administrator and operator can monitor the System Health (by selecting it from the left pane of the
Service Interface) - System Health displays various components of Cisco VMS. Upon selecting a component,
the availability percentage -the time that a component is running and available, is displayed.

Managing Cisco VMS Portal includes maintaining services and operating, performed by the administrator
and operator respectively.
