These are the steps for installing MP3 on a deployment that does not have high availability (HA):

Maintenance Pack 3 can only be installed on Cisco EPN Manager 1.2 Maintenance Pack 2. In other 
words:

MP3 cannot be installed on Cisco EPN Manager 1.2 (without any maintenance packs)

MP3 cannot be installed on Cisco EPN Manager 1.2 with Cisco EPN Manager 1.2 MP1.

Perform these steps to make sure you have the correct installed base before installing MP3.

Choose Administration > Licenses and Software Update > Software Update.

If Maintenance Pack 2 is listed and its status is “Installed,” you can proceed with the MP3 
installation (go to 

If MP2 is not listed, do not proceed with the MP3 installation because it will fail. You must install 
MP2 it as described in the 

Log into Cisco EPN Manager as a user with Administrator privileges. 

From the left sidebar, choose Administration > Licenses and Software Update > Software Update.

Get the ubf file, either by downloading it directly from Cisco.com or by uploading it to the server from 
a saved location: 

If your server has Internet connectivity:

Click the blue Download link at the top of the page and log into Cisco.com. The system checks 
for available software updates. 

Select Cisco EPN Manager Maintenance Pack 3 and click OK to start the download from 
Cisco.com to the server.

If your server does not have Internet connectivity or you have obtained the ubf file from another 
source:

Get the Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. MP3 installation file (cepnm1.2-mp3-date-buildNo.ubf) from

and copy it to your

 

Cisco EPN Manager server.

Click the blue Upload link at the top of the Software Update page in Cisco EPN Manager, 
browse to the ubf file and click OK.
