Functionality Added in Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. MP3
Functionality Added in Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. MP3
Circuits/VCs
•
Ability to hide internal implicit circuits. Internal implicit circuits are underlying circuits that are
created automatically when circuits are provisioned. Although they have not been explicitly
provisioned, they appear in the circuit lists. Users can hide these circuits by selecting
Administration > Settings > System Settings > Service Discovery Settings > Circuits/VCs
Display and deselecting the Show Implicit Circuits/VCs check box.

Optical
•
Support for In-Service Upgrade (ISSU) on NCS 4000 devices.
•
Support for inclusion of NCS 2000 devices when creating OCH-Trail UNI circuits (GUI and API).
•
When a circuit is added or deleted, it now takes less time for Cisco EPN Manager to be updated.
MTOSI API
•
Support for configuring breakout ports and individual breakout lines using the
SetTerminationPointData API. The user will be able to extend a single 100 G port to 10*10G ports
by configuring individual 10G Lanes on a 100G port.

•
Support for hiding internal implicit circuits. The getAllSubnetworkConnections API will not
retrieve internal implicit circuits that are created as a result of client circuit creations. For example,
ODU tunnels that are created as a result of creating ODU UNIs will not be displayed to users when
utilizing the retrieval APIs. However, the getSubnetworkConnection API will retrieve the internal
implicit circuit specified in its argument.

•
Support for specifying constraint management using the MTOSI. This feature is internal to the
MTOSI layer and is not be available to the OSS. It pertains to an internal indication to the EMS
provisioning system for handling the constraints externally.

•
Support for configuring UNIs when at least one of the UNI configuration parameters is specified
when provisioning an OCHTrail UNI.

•
Support for the GetRouteAndTopologicalLinks API retrieval of cross connections, LMP links, and
topological Links in a setup where internal links are configured between OTN Packet and DWDM
Line card on Cisco NCS 4000 series devices. These are retrieved when the user provides: (1) an
ODU_UNI or ODU_Tunnel which has endpoints on OTN Packet line cards, and (2) the OTN Packet
Line cards are internally connected to DWDM cards.

Image Management
•
Software image version is now included in the information shown for archives.
•
Software image distribution on Cisco NCS 4000 devices, in compliance with the Cisco IOS-XR
software lifecycle, now activates distributed images on these devices.
