Release Notes for Cisco Videoscape Distribution Suite, Internet Streamer 4.0.0

  Enhancements
Release 4.0.0-b149 supports setting the memory usage restriction for Web Engine, Content
Manager, FMS Server, Movie Streamer, and Service Router on SE and SR.
TmpFs Size Configuration
Release 4.0.0-b149 supports the TmpFs size configuration. ABR live streaming performance
can be enhanced by enlarging the TmpFs size.
Content Manager Supports up to 50 Million Files
In previous releases, the Content Manager could only handle up to 20 million files and 1 million
directories. In Release 4.0.0-b149, the Content Manager supports up to 50 million files and 10
million directories. Accordingly, the memory alarm watermark of Content Manager is changed as
well.
Extended Session Tracking
Release 4.0.0-b149 extends the Session Tracking function, which extracts custom parameters from
a query string and inserts them into a session cookie as session attributes.
The custom parameter extracting rule is defined by using a Service Rule with a regular expression.
A new custom format token %o, and a custom-parameter field is introduced in the Web Engine
custom format transaction logs, and the ABR per session transaction logs respectively.
