Accessing Settings
From the Home screen

Wi-Fi
Set up and manage your phone’s connections to 
Wi-Fi networks. 
For more information about using Wi-Fi, see “Wi-
Fi”
 on page 78.
Turning Wi-Fi On or Off
Turn your phone’s Wi-Fi service on or off. When 
you turn Wi-Fi service on, your phone 
automatically searches for available Wi-Fi 
networks.
Tip: You can also turn Wi-Fi On or Off from 
Notifications.

Advanced to configure:
• Network notification: When enabled, your 
phone notifies you of Wi-Fi networks when you 
launch a high data-usage application.
• Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Specify when to 
switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data for data 
communications, when the phone goes to sleep 
(backlight goes out and screen locks). This 
setting can affect your data usage, and the 
behavior of devices connected to your phone.
• Check for Internet service: Automatically 
checks the Wi-Fi Internet service availability.
• Wi-Fi timer: sets a starting and ending time for 
Wi-Fi service to stay turned on.
• MAC  address: Your phone’s unique identifier, 
used when connecting to Wi-Fi (not 
configurable).
• IP  address: Your phone’s IP (Internet Protocol) 
address (not configurable).
