first time, but not on the second trial.

(default), once a print job is run by AcrobatReader, 
the application stays in printing state (the spool is 
not cleared) after the job is aborted from PSW.

Actual print operation is aborted, but the 
 printing process on the application is 
not cancelled that the user must wait 
until the process finishes, being unable 
to edit the application data.  This issue 
poses no problem to the printer. 
[Countermeasure] 
Turn on metafile spooling.

application print spool is not cleared 
regardless of the on/off status of metafile

With the network cable connected, restarting 
WinXP and making LPT1 print during automatic IP 
address assignment does not start printing, and 
"Getting Status..." is left on the display.  The 
printing does not start automatically even after 
network connection is established. 

WinXP only 

The cause is 

on the OS.  

Inquiry has 

been made to 

Microsoft. 

-  Network connection is established in a 
couple of minutes after starting XP.  The 
problem is that no printing operation 
takes place after the connection is 
established, despite that the job was 
requested in advance. 
[Countermeasure] 
Delete the job and start printing again. 
If IP address is automatically assigned, 
wait for a couple of minutes after starting 
up the system, before starting print. 
-  Specify IP address in advance. 

When the network adapter manufactured by AXIS 
is mounted on the printer, if once a wrong printer 
driver (for ME) is installed and error occurs, 
installation of the proper driver (for XP/2000) fails. 

Win2000XP2 

WInXP 

The cause is 

on the OS. 

- If AXIS Port for Win2000/XP is 
installed, marred printer icons and illegal 
ports are observed.  No problem with 
Centronics and USB ports. 
[Countermeasure] 
Turn on the User Software CD, go to 
\your_country\WinME and run 
Uninstaller.exe.  Then install the proper 
printer driver for the OS.  Installation 
finishes normally and normal test print is 
output. 

(On all OSes), unnecessary vertical streaks appear 
in gradation data created by Microsoft Office XP 
PowerPoint.
