When the message recording time is set 
to “Greeting Only”:
– d and “--” are displayed on the base 

unit

– d is displayed on the handset while the 

answering system is turned on

While a caller is leaving a message, you can 
screen the call through the speaker of the 
base unit and the handset.

Press $ (middle soft key).

Select u, then press ,.

Select “Settings”, then press ,.

Select “Call Screening”, then press

Select “On” or “Off”, then press ,.

Press {ih}.

This feature alerts you when new messages 
have been recorded. The base unit beeps 
about once a minute until you have listened 
to all new messages.

If the base unit is in night mode, the base 
unit will not beep when new messages are 
recorded.
