McAfee VirusScan Professional Edition

: Initiates an on-demand scan of your wireless device.

n

: Displays a list of all know wireless-specific viruses.

n

: Displays the Settings page in which you can configure the 

on-demand scanner.

On the Home screen, tap the VirusScan icon.

Tap Settings (or tap Options > Configure On-Demand).

Tap the 

G

 to display the following options for how you want the scanner 

to behave as a virus is detected:

M

: An alert message displays on the device 

and waits for your input.

M

: The scanner cleans or deletes the 

virus and continues scanning.

M

: The scanner ignores the virus and continues 

scanning.

Select any of the check boxes to define what the scanner displays during 
the scan, which files are scanned, and if you want to record the scanning 
activity in a log file.

When you have made your selections, tap Done to return to the 
VirusScan Home screen. 

On the Home Screen, tap the VirusScan icon.

Tap Settings (or tap Options > Configure On-Access).

Tap the check box to Enable or Disable On-Access scanning (a checked 
check box indicates On-Access is enabled).

Tap the 

G

 to display the following options for how you want the scanner 

to behave as a virus is detected:

M

: An alert message displays on the device 

and waits for your input.

M

: The scanner prevent the infected 

file from running.
