COOPER
Overview
Once included into the TaHomA system, the Cooper 5-Button Scene Controller allows End Users to access up to 5 Scenes. The
Cooper 5-Button Scene Controller must be installed by a licensed electrician following the instructions included with the
device. As part of TaHomA’s Z-Wave mesh network, the 5-Button Scene Controller will act as a repeater, ensuring commands
will be transmitted regardless of obstacles or dead spots.
Inclusion into TaHomA
NOTE: Only 1 device at a time can be included into TaHomA.
1.  Make sure the scene controller has power but is not yet included in TaHomA by verifying that all LEDs are blinking.
2.  In TaHomA’s Device Configurator, press the “Start Listening” button. Wait until the Device Finder window displays the
message “Listening for a device to add to the network” before continuing to the next step.
3.  Briefly press and release the PROGRAMMING button. The LEDs will blink in sequence while the controller is being
included in the system. DO NOT press any other buttons at this time. The LEDs will stop blinking and remain solid. Once
the Device Finder window displays the message “Found a Device” and the Name and Room drop down menus appear,
the scene controller has been successfully included into the TaHomA system.
If the Device Finder window hangs in the “Listening for device” state, you may be out of range of the TaHomA
controller, in which case, you will have to use the USBIC for programming (refer to page 69 f
or more information
about the USBIC).
4.  In the Device Editor window, enter a name for the scene controller and assign it to a room.
5.  The scene controller is now fully included in the network.

2.  Briefly press and release the PROGRAMMING button. TaHomA will remove the scene controller from the system and
the icon will disappear from TaHomA. Once removed from the system, the scene controller’s LEDs will start blinking,
indicating it is no longer included in TaHomA.
