OPERATION
3.1
GENERAL
Section 3 describes the operation of the KT 73. Where applicable, illustrations of the displays are
furnished to assist the operator in understanding the operation of the unit and also provide a visual
aide for programming sequences. Figure 3-1 illustrates the various panel controls and displays of
the unit.

3.2
PROGRAMMING MODE
NOTE:
While in the programming mode, the KT 73 will not

The programming mode is entered using the following procedure:
(1)
Place the unit in Standby mode.
(2)
Select 0000 ident code.
(3)
Simultaneously depress the IDT and VFR buttons for a minimum of 2 seconds.

counter clockwise to advance either up or down, respectively, through the following menu options
and then depress the IDENT button.
