Within the first 20 seconds of activation, the user has the option to cancel the distress signal
by holding down the SOS button for another 3 seconds. The SOS LED will turn off if the
distress signal has been cancelled.
Warning: the Search and Rescue service will charge a fee for their service. This service
charge is not anything to do with SATcase Ltd and all charges will come directly from the
rescue services.

The user can send an echo test to the SOS service provider to test the connection is
established. This does NOT activate a distress call.
To operate this feature, turn the SATcase on, then press the ‘end call’ and ‘– volume’ button
at the same time. A green light on the keypad will signal a true connection and a red light on
the keypad will signal a failed connection.
Contact SATcase customer service if a red light is shown.
d) Smartphone power button
This button allows the user to turn the Smartphone on and off while inside the SATcase.
This button is located on the backside of the SATcase on the right-hand side (from front
view).
To switch the Smartphone on and off, press and hold this button until the screen display
shows the power on or off messages.
This button will also lock and unlock the Smartphone screen by pressing for a shorter period
of time.

e) Bluetooth connection
Keep the Smartphone and SATcase within 1.5 meter of each other to stay in range of
Bluetooth reach.
Make sure the SATcase is turned on and the Smartphone has Bluetooth turned on.

To prevent overriding or connecting to another SATcase within rage, you can rename the
SATcase Bluetooth name in the SATcase app settings.
Any Smartphone with Bluetooth can connect to the SATcase (not just the Smartphones that
fits in the SATcase).
Once the Smartphone has found the SATcase they will connect with each other and the App
will open automatically on the mobile screen.
