10. Operation
a) Starting DCF Reception Attempt Manually
• Keep the button „DOWN“ pushed until the weather station makes a sound. The DCF
reception is now restarted. The radio tower icon flashes when a DCF signal is recei-
ved.
• The DCF signal search will take several minutes. Do not move the weather station
during this time and do not press any button.
Do not put the weather station next to electronic devices, metal parts, cables,
etc. Bad reception can also be expected, e.g. in case of metallised insulation
glass windows, reinforced concrete construction, coated special wallpaper or
basement rooms.
b) Manually Initiating Search for Outdoor Sensors
Select the transmission channel with the slider (17) in the battery compartment
of the outer sensor.
When operating only a single outdoor sensor, always set the channel to 1. If
several outdoor sensors are operated (up to 3 are possible), set a different
channel for each outdoor sensor.
• Keep the button „CHANNEL“ (3) pushed for about 3 seconds until the weather station
emits a beep and the dashes in the area of the display for the outdoor sensor (lower
left of the display) flash.
• The sensor search takes about 3 minutes. Do not move the weather station and outdoor
sensor during this time and do not push any button at the weather station.
By pushing the button „TEST“ (15) in the battery compartment of the outdoor
sensor, a data package is sent manually, which permits faster recognition of
the outdoor sensor by the weather station.
