f) Switching on the Speed Controller
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely.
Never reach into the drive, and do not stop the wheels with your hand; danger of injury!
Switch on the speed controller (for switch position at the vehicle, see chapter 8. e). Then wait for a few seconds (leave
the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
If you hear a confirmation sound (“DO-RE-MI”), the neutral position was recognised and the drive controller is ready for
operation (green LED remains lit).
If the vehicle drive starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then adjust
the trim on the transmitter until the motor stops.
Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle.
g) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body
Push the aerial tube through the respective opening from the bottom of the car body.
Now put the car body on the holders (first plug over the rear spoiler holder) and fasten the vehicle panelling with the
holding brackets removed at the start.
Last, install the rear spoiler. It is also secured to the vehicle with a fastening clamp.
Your car is now ready for its first test run.
h) Controlling the Vehicle
Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive
too fast at the beginning until you get used to the car’s reactions.
Do not make any quick and jerky movements with the operating elements of the remote control.
If the vehicle tends to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.
When switching between forward and reverse gears, the throttle/brake lever must be put in neutral position briefly
(neutral position = let go of lever, do not move it). If the throttle/brake lever is moved from forward to reverse directly,
the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle will NOT reverse).
Also observe the separately enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
The figures on the following page only serve to illustrate the functions; they do not have to correspond to
the design of the included transmitter!
