7.  Press the left button to increase the number or the right button to decrease the number
until the desired value is shown. Hold down either button to quickly increase or decrease
the number. When the desired value is displayed, press the center button to save the
value.

8.  Repeat steps 3 and 4 to continue customizing the CIP values for each axle until all axles
are programmed correctly.

9.  To save the changes and exit the “Axle Params” function, press the center button once.
Press the center button again to exit Setup Mode.

8.3.3 Q: Pressure readings at a tire location do not change on the gauge when air is added,
or removed, to correct tire pressure value.

A: When the transmitters are in stationary mode they sense pressure and transmit every 15
minutes. Wait for a new transmission to be received or initiate a transmission with the LF Initiator,
SmarTire
 LF Tool, or SmarTire
 Hand Tool.

Transmitters will transmit data every 3 to 5 minutes.  In cases where no transmission was
received from the specific tire, move the LF Initiator, Hand Tool, or LF Tool 5 inches in a
clockwise or counterclockwise direction and try again.  Should the problem persist, a defective,
missing, or misplaced sensor may need to be diagnosed – see section 8.4.

8.3.4 Q: Pressure readings at a tire location do not change on the gauge when air is added,
or removed, to correct tire pressure, and a new transmission has been received.

A:  Tire / Wheel assemblies may have been relocated on the vehicle without the receiver being
updated. Cycle power to the receiver, initiate a transmission from that tire location and note the
location where pressure is registered on the display.  Correct the preprogrammed tire locations as
necessary using the Gauge or Diagnostics Software and Hand Tool, LF Tool, or LF Initiator.

The sensor location correction can be made using the Gauge and LF Tool, SmarTire

Maintenance Tool, or LF Initiator by going through the single tire learn process for each affected
tire location.  In the case of a sensor location mismatch, at least 2 tire positions need to be
corrected.

Follow the steps below when using the Gauge Display – IMPORTANT –  DO NOT POWER
DOWN THE SYSTEM DURING STEPS a. to c. OR THE DATA IN THE RECEIVER COULD BE
CORRUPTED.

a.  The first tire must be deleted and cannot be learned right away since it will cause
a “Duplicate Sensor” error.  Abort the learn process by pressing the Setup button
and then reenter the learn menu and select the second tire for learn.  At this
point, press the setup button to delete the second tire and now learn the correct
tire (i.e. the tire that was deleted earlier) using the LF Initiator, LF Tool or Hand
Tool.
b.  Upon completion, return to the first tire location and learn the new sensor ID by
pressing the setup button to yet again delete the tire and then learn the new
position using the LF Initiator, LF Tool or Hand Tool.
