My screen is grey after
viewing saved footage
• This grey screen is one of the viewing modes the DVR can go into. From
the live viewing mode press the “Mode” button to change the selected
camera to a playback screen. Press the “Mode” button once more to switch
to a full screen playback screen. Press the “Mode” button once more to
switch back to live monitoring.

VGA Options is not
changing any display
settings
• This feature is only available if your version of the DVR has a VGA output
connection on the back of the DVR. It will not affect your DVR or video
output if there is no VGA output connection.

Play back video is choppy
• Option 1: The playback may be in “Slow Forward” mode. Turn this mode

switch back into normal playback speed.
• Option 2: The smoothness of the playback of your recorded video
footage will depend on how many IPS the footage was recorded with.
(See the camera Setup section in the manual for full descriptions.) If

• Verify all SMTP server email information is correct. Contact your ISP or
email provider for the proper information. If this is set up correctly make
sure that email alerts are turned on for the feature you would like to
receive emails about (motion, alarm, HDD full).

Can not set up DDNS
•The DVR must be set up to use a Static IP if DDNS is to be used.

Video footage plays slow
and choppy when viewing
the DVR over a remote

• The DVR can support a maximum of 5 (five) users connected to DVR via
the web interface at one time.
• Each connected user will slow down the network speed to the other
connected devices.
• For best results view with only one person connected to the DVR via
Internet Explorer or mobile device.
