F. Diagnostic Charts
1. No Ice Production
Problem
Possible Cause
Remedy
[] The icemaker will not 
start.
a) Power Supply
. Off, blown fuse, or 
tripped breaker.
. Turn on, replace, or reset.
. Loose connection.
. Tighten.
3. Bad contacts.
3. Check for continuity and 
replace.
4. Not within 
specifications.
4. Refer to nameplate and 
correct.
b) Transformer (5V 
primary) (3 phase only)
. Voltage tap switch 
does not match 
incoming voltage.
. Verify incoming voltage, 
move switch to proper 
setting.
. Coil winding open or 
shorted.
. Replace.
c) Water Supply
. Water supply off or 
pressure too low.
. Check and get 
recommended pressure.
d) Thermostatic Bin 
Control 
. Tripped with bin filled 
with ice.
. Remove ice.
. Ambient temperature 
too cool.
. Increase ambient 
temperature.
3. Set too warm.
3. See "IV.C.. Thermostatic 
Bin Control Check."
4. Bulb out of position.
4. Place in position.
5. Bad contacts.
5. Check for continuity and 
replace.
e) Fuse (Control Box)
. Blown.
. Check for short circuit and 
replace.
f) Control Switch
. "OFF" or "WASH" 
position.
. Move to "ICE" position.
. Bad contacts.
. Check for continuity and 
replace.
g) High Pressure Control . Bad contacts.
. Check for continuity and 
replace.
. Dirty air filter or 
condenser.
. Clean.
3. Ambient or condenser 
water temperature too 
warm.
3. Reduce temperature.
4. Refrigerant 
overcharged.
4. Recover, evacuate, and  
recharge.
5. Fan not operating 
(except water-cooled 
model).
5. See chart .[7].
6. Refrigerant lines or 
components restricted.
6. Recover, repair, replace 
drier, evacuate and 
recharge.
7. Condenser water 
pressure too low or off 
(water-cooled model).
7. Check and get 
recommended pressure.
