 The host computer that will be blocked to access the Internet. 

URL Filter String: 

The pattern that will be blocked, for example, “

yahoo.com

”. 

Action: 

Insert a new URL Filter or update a specified URL Filter.

 

 

3.2.8  Security 

 

 

AP Router prevents the attacks that can reduce false positives and eliminate  impact 

of attacks: 

 

Intrusion  Detection  (ID)  –  It  can  detect  the  inappropriate,  incorrect,  or 

anomalous  activities  from  the  outside.  Sometimes,  a  distinction  is  made 

between  misuse  and  intrusion  detection.  The  term  intrusion  is  used  to 

describe attacks from outside; whereas, misuse is used to describe an attack 

that originates form the internal network. The most common approaches to ID 

are statistical anomaly detection and pattern-matching detection.
