ip bgp graceful-restart restart-interval
Configures the grace period for achieving a graceful BGP restart.
ip bgp graceful-restart restart-interval [seconds]

seconds
The hitless restart timeout interval, in seconds. The valid range is 
1–3600.

Usage Guidelines
• The minimum hardware configuration for this command is a redundant CMM configuration. This 
command is not supported on a chassis-based switch with a single CMM or on a standalone switch.
• On a stackable switch, a graceful restart is supported only on active ports (i.e., interfaces) that are on 
the secondary or idle modules in a stack during a takeover. It is not supported on ports on a primary 
element in a stack.
• Note that graceful restart does not support IPv6 prefixes at this time.
