Connecting to the Power Source
This chapter describes how to connect the Versalar 15000 to the AC or DC power
source.

Connecting to the AC Power Source
The Versalar 15000 operates with a separate AC power unit with two AC power
supply modules. The AC-powered unit can also have an additional power unit
installed for redundancy and high-availability operation.

To connect the Versalar 15000 to the AC power unit:
1.
Ensure that the AC POWER A and AC POWER B power breakers on the
front panel of the power unit are in the off (down or 0) position.

Connect the power cables to the AC inlets on the terminal block on the
back of the Versalar 15000 chassis.

3.
Insert the power plugs in the back of the AC power unit into the
appropriate power outlet. (See Table 1-5 on page 1-7.) Each power supply
requires one power cord.

4.
Connect the AC management cable from the 9-pin D-sub connector on
the back of the Versalar 15000 to the AC power unit
