Configuring the T1 FDL Channel
On the Versalar 15000, the FDL feature provides a mechanism that lets you
monitor T1 performance data. Note that if you use the default setting esf as the
Framing parameter value, the associated T1 or FT1 channel uses FDL to receive
performance data from either the subscriber or carrier.

Specifying the FDL Exchange Type
The M13 channelized T3 service uses T1 channels or FT1 interfaces that, by
default, expect to automatically receive performance messages (PRMs) at
1-second intervals. You can change the FDL transmission mode to receive PRMs
only when the Versalar 15000 requests them, or you can disable FDL mode.
