Like any electronic device, the Ergodex DX1 Input System should be 
handled with care.  Please observed the following guidelines: 
 
Protect the DX1 from extremes in temperature.  Don’t leave your 
system in a car where it could be subjected to very high or low 
temperatures.  High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic 
devices. Do not store parts or accessories in hot areas. 
 
When electronic equipment, such as the DX1 Input System, has 
been stored in a colder area and moved to a relatively warmer area, 
moisture can form inside the equipment. As electronic equipment 
warms up to its normal operating temperature, this moisture may 
damage electronic circuit boards. Do not store parts or accessories 
in cold areas. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Precipitation, humidity, and liquids contain minerals that will corrode 
electronic circuits. Keep all parts and accessories dry.  
 
Allowing dust or dirt to get into moving parts can cause damage. Do 
not use or store parts or accessories in dusty, dirty areas.  
 
Only qualified personnel may repair the DX1 Input System. There 
are no user serviceable parts in the DX1 Input System. Do not 
attempt to open.  Non-expert handling may cause damage, will void 
all product warranties, and will likely cause your DX1 Input System to 
fail.  Tampering with or removing the label on the back of the DX1 
Pad will void all product warranties and will likely cause your DX1 
Input System to malfunction. 
 
 

 

You may clean your Pad with a damp cloth, but NEVER submerge it 
in water or allow liquids to spill on it. Do not use harsh chemicals, 
cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean parts or accessories. 
 

 
 
 

 

Always remove the Key Tray from the Pad for cleaning. The Key 
Tray may be cleaned with warm soapy water. Always remove any 
attached Keys before cleaning the Key Tray. 
 

The Keys, like the Pad, should be protected from temperature 
extremes.  The Keys should NEVER be submerged in liquid.  The 
adhesive surfaces of the Key bottoms may pick up dirt with repeated 
use and become less sticky.  To restore the Key adhesive, wipe with 
a damp cotton swab or paper towel and let dry.
