Amps Incorporate Proprietary Technology Used in A6000GTi Amplifier Delivering Maximum
System Flexibility and Bass Output

LAS VEGAS (Jan. 9, 2003) – Car audio lovers can have their cake and eat it too with JBL’s
Power Series amplifiers, which borrow technology developed for the company’s high-end GTi
Series amps. The GTi Series was designed by JBL and Crown International; Crown is the
world’s leading manufacturer of commercial and live-concert amplification. Now serious audio
enthusiasts can take their personal systems to the next level using the proprietary technology
featured in the Power Series amps which generates tremendous power without compromising
signal quality.

The significant performance enhancements of the Power Series BPX amp models are a bass-
head’s dream.  They feature Crown’s parallel-bridge capability. Unlike most sub amps that are
single channel, the parallel-bridge Power Series amps enable users to bridge two channels to
double the voltage or run the channels in parallel to double the current. This is unprecedented in
an amp of more than 250 watts, and it provides consumers with installation flexibility because
numerous speaker options are available. The two BPX amps, the BPX1000.1 (1100-watt current-
servo sub amp) and the BPX2200.1 (2200-watt current-servo sub amp), are both Class D amps.
