The Options Menu provides you with a number of choices when converting

Show Bitmaps
If the Show Bitmaps option is checked, when converting either FNTs or IMGs, the
bitmaps will be displayed. You would only turn this off if speed is an issue.

Auto-detect Rotation
When converting IMGs, if the Auto-Detect Rotation option is checked, the
orientation (either portrait or landscape) of the graphic is ascertained from the
IMG's header information.

Only portrait images are rotated (90 degrees anti-clockwise) and only if necessary.
Rotated images will appear upright in the Designer window. If not rotated, they
would appear to lay on their right side. Landscape images are not rotated.
