Previewing and Manipulating Jobs

Viewing soft proofs

If you have the Fiery Graphic Arts Package option, you can use the Soft-Proof feature
to display an accurate color preview of your print job. The Soft-Proof feature applies a
specified color profile to the preview image to compensate for the unique display
characteristics of your color monitor. As a result, the preview provides a more accurate
representation of how the job will appear when printed on the Fiery .

Display a full-screen preview of the desired job, as described on

page 4-2

Select the Soft-Proof option, located in the upper right of the full-screen preview.

Click Load.

A dialog box appears, prompting you to select a monitor profile.

If you are using the monitor that is part of the Fiery Advanced Controller Interface
(FACI) option, select the monitor profile that shipped with the option. If you are using
another monitor, select a profile customized to describe the characteristics of that
particular monitor.

Locate and select the monitor profile for your monitor and click Open.

The full-screen preview now displays a soft proof of the original job, as interpreted
through the monitor profile you specified.

Editing and merging jobs

You can use the Preview windows to reorder the pages of a processed/held job and
merge pages from several jobs into a single job.

Editing jobs

You can use the Preview window to edit any processed/held job from the Active Jobs
window.
