Any MeetingPlace user with at least contact privileges is by default a 
speaker (or meeting moderator), and the Q&A screen invoked from the 
In-Session tab is that of a meeting moderator’s. A meeting moderator can 
ask a question on behalf of any participant in the meeting but a listen-only 
participant can only listen or ask a question for themselves even if they’re 
granted speaking privileges.

Someone may want to schedule a web conference independent of a voice 
conference. This option allows users to share documents through a 
MeetingPlace meeting without using up any ports. If ports are available, users 
can also join a voice conference.

To schedule a “zero-port” meeting, in the Schedule tab, select the 

 parameter, enter or choose 

 in the text box that displays, then click 

.

System problems can affect the quality of meetings or a user’s ability to use 
MeetingPlace features.

System is out of voice space

Users cannot record meeting names, profile names, agendas, or entire 
meetings. To find out how many meeting recordings are on the 
MeetingPlace system and how much disk space is available, check the 
View Disk Usage parameter in the System tab.

Also, check to see that the Max Recording Space (min) setting 
(Configure tab, Server Configuration) is configured properly. This 
setting separates voice storage space into two parts: Meeting 
Recordings and Other. Other includes profile names, guest participant 
names, meeting names, and recorded agendas.

DID/DNIS or DDI numbers 
are not available

If users cannot use a DID/DNIS or DDI number, or if no meeting ID 
numbers are available, either all DID/DNIS or DDI numbers are being 
used or there is a scheduling conflict with that number.

In the Configure tab, select 

 to assign different port 

access types to blocks of telephone numbers and reserve the numbers 
in each block for certain uses. If MeetingPlace is to receive dialed 
number information, you decide how many numbers to reserve for 
each use.

Add more DID/DNIS or DDI numbers to your system. If your 

system does not use DID/DNIS or DDI numbers, you can increase the 
number of IDs available using the Minimum Mtg ID Length field 
(Configure tab, Scheduling parameters).
