Activating Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot  

Activate your tablet’s Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot application to 
allow other devices to use your tablet’s internet connection. 

1.  From a Home screen, touch 

Apps ➔ 

Settings. The Settings screen appears. 

2.   Under Wireless and network, touch More settings

Portable Wi-Fi hotspot. 

3.  Touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot

OFF 

  and follow the 

prompts to turn Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot On.

Use the other device’s Wi-Fi control to connect to your  
tablet’s Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.  

1.  Activate Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot on your tablet. (For 

more information, see “Activating Portable Wi-Fi 

2.  Activate Wi-Fi on the other device, using that device’s 

Wi-Fi control. 

3.  Scan for Wi-Fi hotspots, and select your tablet from the 

list. (To find your tablet’s name, see “Configuring 

4.   At the prompt, enter your tablet’s Portable Wi-Fi 

Hotspot password. 

By default, the password is your tablet’s telephone
