You can use the operator panel to set the maximum number of times a cartridge can be 
used to make sure that it is effective. Remember that each drive’s cartridge has a 
maximum number of cleans, and must be replaced when it expires.

DLT, 3490 (9490), or Redwood (SD-3) data 
appears here when the LSM is configured for those 
drives only.

This menu option only appears when the LSM is 
configured for a mixed drive environment of 9840s 
and DLTs or CTU environment of 9490s (3490) and 

 limits decrease from 100 to 1 in decrements 

of 5; 

 

from 500 to 1 in decrements of 25;

100 to 1 in decrements of 5.
