Questo capitolo illustra le operazioni di scomposizione
degli steli già rimossi dalla base e dalla testa di sterzo.
Prima di procedere alla scomposizione degli elementi è
necessario eseguire una accurata pulizia degli steli per
evitare che particelle di sporco possano rovinare le superfici
di scorrimento o di tenuta.

Per rimuovere l’olio contenuto all’interno del fodero,
eseguire le operazioni riportare al paragrafo “6.3 -
S

” dalla F

 1 alla F

 4.

Per separare il portastelo (6) dal tubo portante (28) e per
rimuovere il gruppo di tenuta dal portastelo e le boccole
di guida, eseguire le operazioni riportare al paragrafo
“6.4 -  S

” dalla F

 9 alla

 12.

Bloccare il portaruota del tubo portante (28) in una
morsa provvista di ganasce di protezione.
Introdurre l’attrezzo Cod. R5081AA nell’asta ammortizzatore
per bloccare la rotazione della custodia  (18). Ruotare
l’attrezzo per inserire i due innesti nell’estremità esagonale
della custodia e fermarlo inserendo un perno nei due fori
opposti. Con la chiave a bussola da 21 mm svitare la vite
di fondo (36). Rimuovere il gruppo valvola di fondo (37)
con la relativa guarnizione OR (35).

Sfilare delicatamente il gruppo ammortizzatore (38) dal
tubo portante (28).
Svitare e rimuovere il controdado (12) e sfilare dall’asta
ammortizzatore il guidamolla (13).

Per poter operare sul pompante dall’ammortizzatore è
necessario rimuovere i componenti del tampone di fine
corsa: tenere bloccata la bussola superiore (14) con la
chiave esagonale da 18 mm e svitare la bussola inferiore
(17) con quella da 17 mm.
Sfilare dall’asta ammortizzatore la bussola superiore
(14) e la boccola flottante (16) del tampone di fine corsa.

Con un piccolo cacciavite scalzare l’anello di fermo (15)
dall’asta ammortizzatore (20).
Rimuovere dall’asta, evitando di rigarla, l’anello di fermo
(15) e la bussola inferiore (17).

This chapter deals with the disassembly procedures for
the legs already removed from the crown and steering
head.
Before disassembling, carefully clean the legs to avoid
any damage to sliding or sealing parts due to dirt.

To remove oil from inside the slider, follow instructions
given in paragraph “6.3- O

”, from S

 1 to

 4.

Follow the instructions as indicated in paragraph “6.4-
O

”, from S

 9 to S

 12, to remove the

slider (6) from the stanchion (28) and the slider seals and
the pilot bushings.

Fix the slider of the stanchion tube (28) into a vice
equipped with protection jaws.
Insert the tool with part no. R5081AA into the damper
rod to prevent the body (18) from turning. Turn the tool
to insert the two couplings in the body hex. end and stop
it by inserting a pin in the two opposite holes. Unscrew
the foot screw (36) with the 21-mm socket wrench.
Remove the foot valve unit (37) complete with OR (35).

Gently withdraw the damper unit (38) from the stan-
chion tube (28).
Unscrew and remove the check nut (12) and remove the
spring guide (13) from the damper rod.

In order reach the pumping element from the damper, the
rebound bumper parts must be removed first: keep firmly
the upper bushing (14) with the 18-mm Allen wrench
and unscrew the lower bushing (17) with the 17-mm
wrench.
Remove the upper bushing (17) and the floating bushing
(16) of the rebound buffer from the damper rod

Remove the stop ring (15) from the damper rod (20) with
a small screwdriver. Remove the stop ring (15) and the
lower bushing (17) from the rod making sure not to
scratch it.
