Chapter 6  Setup Utility MAP

 TCP/IP setup

Select [SetupTCP/IP]  from [Protocols] of the [Network Administration menu]

Set the parameters as necessary.

Enable TCP/IP

Check this box to allow the KN-304 to automatically get the IP address from the DHCP server.

When this box is checked, define the IP address as “0.0.0.0” and remove the check mark in

the “Set IP address” box.

IP address

Enter the print server’s IP address if it is not shown.  Consult the system administrator for the

value of IP address.

Subnet mask

Enter the sub net mask if it is not shown.

Default Gateway

Enter as necessary.  You may leave it void unless necessary.

Base Port Number

Enter the base port number assigned to the print server.  The default is 10000.  The base port

number is used in IP peer-to-peer setup.

Enable DHCP

Check this box to allow the KN-304 to automatically get the IP address from the DHCP server.

When this box is checked, define the IP address as "0.0.0.0" or clear the "IP Address in

NVRAM" box.

Check this box to allow the KN-304 to keep the IP address in NVRAM for access after then.
