SETTING THE SPEED
You can set the required speed using the adjuster wheel
(see Fig
) as required. As the setting depends on
what kind of material you are working with, use the recommendations and examples given in Tips and Tricks.
FITTING THE SANDING SHEETS
Note: before fitting a new sanding sheet, remove dust and dirt from the base
.
1. Lift both clips
to open them to insert a new sanding sheet or change the sanding sheet for
use on a different material.
2. Push the sanding sheet
under the open clip at one end and clamp it securely on the base by
moving the clip down again.
3. Do the same at the other end. Make sure that the sanding sheet
is tight against the base. See Figures
and
.
4. Important! - The holes in the sanding sheet
and the base
must align for the dust to be extracted through the
base. See Figure
.
Different materials need different grades of sanding sheets. To determine which grade is suitable for your work,
please read our recommendation in Tips and Tricks.
DUST EXTRACTION
DUST EXTRACTION WITH PAPER DUST BAG
Push the paper dust bag
on to the adapter
. Ensure that the adapter fits correctly into the holder.
Clip the dust bag with the adapter to the side of the sander.
DUST EXTRACTION WITH VACUUM CLEANER
For dust extraction using a vacuum cleaner use the appropriate connector – see Figure
. Attach the adapter to
the end of the vacuum cleaner hose and clip it to the side of the equipment.
MAINTENANCE OF THE ORBITAL SANDER
1. Clean the sander regularly. For the best results do this straight after the work has been completed.
2. Do not allow liquids to get inside the sander. Use a soft cloth for cleaning the housing. Do not use petrol,
solvents or cleaners that may attack the plastic.
3. Air vents must always be clear and clean.
