This product contains software which is based in part on the work of the Inde-

Operating software on the telephone or PBX that is stored in the device itself.
The device cannot function without firmware.

The process of updating the firmware to resolve problems and integrate new
features. For this, the device establishes a connection to a server in order to
download the most current firmware (the device settings remain intact). Except
for the charges for the required telephone connection, the update is free of
charge.

You need the Auerswald USB drivers if you connect your Auerswald USB
device to the USB port on a PC, e.g. for configuration.

The TAPI driver enables you to use TAPI applications from the USB port on the
Auerswald USB device (TAPI = Telephony Application Programming Interface).
This means you can use different Windows applications, which use the TAPI
port, to address the device, and then dial a telephone number from the PC, for
example. Windows XP (32-bit) and Windows 7 applications are supported. The
TAPI driver automatically sets the TAPI operation mode when a suitable
application is started.
