The components required for building a fully functional model, such as motors, control
PCBs, cables, screws, landing legs, etc. are not included in the delivery.
Some components or even all system or spare parts of the REELY “QuadroCopter
450” can also be used for building the model.

Proceed as follows:
• Screw one motor each to the four aluminium booms (figure 1, item 2) with three large holes

(figure 2, item A).
If you want to use the motors of an already-present REELY “QuadroCopter 450”, observe the
notes in the following chapter.

• Push one end cap each (figure 1, item 1) onto the boom ends (figure 2, item A).
• Plug the motor connection cables into the inner hole of each boom and guide the cable out of

the large hole at the other end of the boom (figure 2, items A and B).

• Install the four aluminium booms in sequence to the two superimposed central frames (figure

1, item 7).
Install the screws M3 x 15 mm (figure 1, item 5) on the inside, the M3 x 20 mm (figure 1, item
6) with the lock nuts on the outside (figure 1, item 8) as indicated in figure 2, item C.

Important!
The screw threads point upwards like the motors (figure 2, item C).

• The experimental frame is now assembled completely (figure 2, item D) and can be equipped

individually with electronics, landing gear and hoods. The remaining threads of the outer
attachment screws can be used as attachment points for building the model further.



The experimental frame can be used to build an individual quadrocopter as a basis frame. The
stable and slim build enables diverse building versions. A REELY “QuadroCopter 450” can also
be equipped with the experimental frame.
