Recording on TAPE
Do not use a cassette tape with more than 90-minute recording time, for the tape used with such a cassette is very
thin and tends to cause troubles such as entanglement around the pinch roller or cutting of tape.
1.
Load a tape in deck.
2. Select the tape transport direction.
The cassette tape cannot be loaded or ejected while the unit is in
standby mode.
Do not force load a cassette tape in standby mode, otherwise malfunc-
tion will result.

When recording is started, the tape is transported in the direction selected
in this step.“Transport direction indicators”

Wind the tape to the position where recording is to be started.“To wind
tape at high speed”

÷ Remove tape slack before loading.

Press the TAPE 23 key.
Press the TAPE 23 key again.
Press the 7 STOP key to stop it.
To reverse the transport direction
Insert the cassette tape straight into the insertion slot. Just push lightly
and the cassette will be pulled automatically inside, and TAPE IN indi-
cator lights.

Select the reverse mode. ª
Select the Dolby NR mode.ª

This system can record signals on Normal (TYPE  ) and High (TYPE  ) position tapes. Remember that the Metal (TYPE 
) tapes
cannot be used with this system.
