Check to make sure that Skype is configured to use the VoIP Virtual Audio device as it’s 
Audio In and Audio Out Sound Device. 
 
This is done as following: 
 
Select Options from the Skype™ Tools Menu as shown below. 
 

 

 
and then select Sound Devices as shown below.
