Apple Service Diagnostic replaces MacTest Pro for Xserve. It tests memory, logic board 

and components, hard drives, Ethernet cards, and video cards, and complements both 

Apple Hardware Test and Server Monitor. In addition, it offers the following advantages:

• many choices for selecting tests

• a looping function where tests can be run once, a specified number of times, or a 

specified length of time. The looping function is valuable for detecting intermittent 

problems that take a long time to generate a failure.
