Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Repairs may
only be carried out by one of our trained after-

unplug the mains plug or switch off the fuse in
the fuse box. Contact the after-sales service.
Malfunction
Possible cause
Solution
Appliance does not heat up. Left illu-
minated ring flashing, right illumi-
nated ring lit.
Drain valve is open.
Close the drain valve after draining off the cook-
ing liquid. The appliance does not warm up when
the drain valve is open. If leftovers are blocking
the drain valve, open it again. Then carefully use a
suitable object such as the handle of a wooden
spoon to remove the leftovers.
Appliance does not heat up. Right-
hand illuminated ring flashes fast,
left illuminated ring is off.
Overheating protection: cooking
basin is empty or has been boiled
empty.
Cooking liquid under the minimum
mark.
Turn off the appliance. Top up cooking liquid up
to at least the minimum mark. Allow the appliance
to cool down.
Overheating protection: appliance
has been operated for too long in
the steam cooking setting without
the glass cover.
Turn off the appliance and let it completely cool
down. Fit the glass cover in the steam cooking
setting.
Overheating protection: very hot
water has been poured into the
cooking basin.
Turn off the appliance and let it completely cool
down. Fill the cooking basin with cold water.
Overheating protection: the cook-
ing basin is clogged with scale. On
the base of the cooking basin, you
can see the shape of the heating
coil as a white coating.
Turn off the appliance and let it completely cool
down. Wipe out the basin with a water and vine-
gar mixture or a descaling agent that is not harm-
ful to foodstuffs. Rinse thoroughly with clear
water.
Safety shut-off: appliance has not
been operated in the past four
hours.
Turn the right control knob to 0 and then switch
on again, if necessary.
Power outage: after a power out-
age, the appliance stays switched
off for safety reasons.
Turn the right control knob to 0 and then switch
on again, if necessary.
Appliance is not working. Both illu-
minated rings flash alternately fast.
Installation error
Check correct fitting of the connecting cable to
the control panel.
The corners of the appliance curve
upwards slightly during operation.
The heat causes the cooktop's
metal to expand.
This is normal. No curving is visible after cooling
down.
