When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,

•  READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.

  an  outlet;  instead  grasp  the  charger  and  pull  to  disconnect.  Keep  cord  away  from 

  heated surfaces. Do not pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not close door 

  on the charger cord.

•  Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.

•  This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Do not incinerate batteries 

  or expose to high temperatures, as they may explode.

•  Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.

•  Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving 

  parts.

•  Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or 

  hot ashes.

•  Do not use the vacuum cleaner without filter in place.

To the consumer, Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. warrants this vacuum cleaner to be free of defects in material 

or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. Refer to the data plate label on your 

vacuum cleaner for the length of warranty and save your original sales receipt to validate start of warranty 

period.

If the vacuum cleaner should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any 

defective parts free of charge.  The complete machine must be delivered prepaid to any ROYAL Authorized 

Sales & Warranty Service Station.  Please include complete description of the problem, day of purchase,

•  Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.

•  Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in 

  areas where they may be present.

•  Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid, which is 

  20-35% solution of potassium hydroxide, gets on the skin (1) wash quickly with soap 

  and water or (2) neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid 

  gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 

  minutes. Seek medical attention.

•  Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.

•  Store the vacuum cleaner indoors. Put the vacuum cleaner away after use to prevent 

  tripping accidents.

•  Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free 

  of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.

1. Push the brush base onto the connector of the upright cleaner. 

You must hear and feel the catch on the backside of the con-

nector snap shut.

2.  Select  a  place  for  the  charging  station  where  the 

appliance  is  stable  and  always  protected  from  heat 

and moisture during charging.

3.  Push  the  wall  mount  of  the  charging  station  onto 

the connector of the base. You must feel and hear it 

click into place.
NOTE:
Instead of pushing the wall mount onto the base, you 
may fix it to a wall. For attaching it to a wall, the wall
mount has 3 grommets on its backside.

The battery must be charged before you can work with the appliance. To do this: Connect 

the AC adapter to the connector of the charging station.

Connect the AC adapter to a socket that carries the same voltage as that indicated on the 

AC adapter’s type plate.

Make sure that the appliance is switched off and cannot be switched on by accident.

NOTE:

The appliance cannot be charged when switched on.

Take the appliance off 

its charging station.

Turn  the  handle  into 

the  upright  position 

until you hear and feel 

it lock into place.

1.  Uncouple  the  handheld  by 

pushing  the  release  catch  on 

the  upright  cleaner’s  recep-

tacle.  First  pull  the  handheld 

slightly  forwards  and  then 

upwards out of its receptacle.

2. The crevice nozzle will automatically be partially or fully extended. If you actually want to use 

the crevice nozzle, extend it completely until its latch becomes visible on the underside of the 

handheld and clicks into place. If you do not want to use the crevice nozzle, push it all the way 

back into the handheld. Never operate the appliance without the crevice nozzle, because the air 

will not be properly sucked in without it.

1. If not already done, take the handheld cleaner out of its receptacle. 

2. Hold the handheld with the dust container pointing downwards so that no dust will fall out during 

opening.

3. Push the release catch (a) on the dust container and twist the container off the motor unit (b).

4. Hold the dust container deeply into a dustbin.

5. First remove the motor protection filter and then the permanent filter from the dust container.

6. Empty the dust container into the dustbin.

2.  First  remove  the  motor  protection  filter  and  then  the  permanent  filter  from  the  dust 

container.

3. First, give the filters a dry cleaning by hand.

4. If this is insufficient, rinse the permanent filter and the motor protection filter in cold or 

lukewarm running water until all dirt is gone. Do not use soap or detergent.

    IMPORTANT: Filter must be completely dried before reuse.

5. If a filter is damaged or too dirty, replace it with a new one.

6. Put the motor protection filter back into the permanent filter.

7. Continue with steps 10 - 13 under “Dirt Cup Removal and Replacement”.

NOTE: You can dispose of the contents of the dust container with the normal domestic waste as long as it does not contain 

any substances not permitted for domestic waste.

TO  USE:  Slide  the  power  switch  to  the  ON 

position.  (I  =  ON)  The  operating  indicator 

lights  up  until  you  switch  off  the  appliance 

again.

TO TURN UNIT OFF: Slide the power switch 

to the OFF position. (O = OFF) Empty the dust 

container after use.

TO USE: Slide the power switch to the ON position. (I = ON) 

The  operating  indicator  lights  up  until  you  switch  off  the 

appliance again.

TO  TURN  UNIT  OFF:  Slide  the  power  switch  to  the  OFF 

position. (O = OFF) Empty the dust container after use. Push 

the handheld cleaner back into its receptacle after use. You 

must hear and feel the handheld’s release catch engaging.

It is recommended to fold down the handle again for storage and transportation. Now you can 

conveniently carry the appliance by the handheld’s handle. 

Always store the appliance in a cool, dry place and out of reach of children.

Before  storing  it  for  a  prolonged  time  empty  the  dust  container  and  dispose  of  its  contents 

properly.

Upon removal, cover the battery packs terminals with heavy duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or 

disassemble battery pack or remove any of its components. Nickel-cadmium batteries must be recycled or 

disposed of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit may 

result. keep away from children. Failure to comply with these warnings could result in fire and/or serious injury.

l’aspirateur-balais. La touche de verrouillage sur la face posté-

rieure de l’embout de raccordement doit bien s’encliqueter de 

manière audible.

chargeur  qui  permette  à  l’aspirateur  d’être  en  tout 

temps rechargé de manière stable et d’être à l’abri de 

l’humidité et de la chaleur.

3. Insérez la fixation murale du chargeur sur l’embout 

du  socle.  Vous  entendez  et  percevez  qu’il  s’emboîte 

correctement.

REMARQUE:

Au lieu de placer le support mural dans le socle, vous 

pouvez aussi monter ce dernier contre une paroi.

Pour  faire  un  montage  contre  la  paroi,  le  support  de 

paroi possède sur sa face postérieure trois oeillets de

suspension.
