Black Overprint
 tab when you selec
 tab.
This feature allows you to specify if the printer applies “intelligent black” overprint to
all black objects that overlap non-white objects.
This process, which involves printing slight amounts of black over other areas that were
already printed, helps prevent registration problems that can occur during the printing
process. When this feature is disabled, the printer prints black objects using the “knockout”
technique.
Available options are:
• Printer Default
• On: Black overprint is applied to all black objects overlapping non-white objects.
• Off: No black overprinting is applied.
NOTE
Black Overprint is available for text objects only.
Color: Source Color Tab
The Source Color tab lets you define the color model of the source document. Use the
items on this tab in conjunction with the Output Color tab to establish the color mapping
functions for the print job. Source Color defines profile options for color spaces (models).
Profiles are color characteristic settings used to keep output colors accurate and
consistent.
