Use the PANTONE Color sampler chart for your printer to select colors 
within an application that allows you to specify PANTONE Colors.  For 
more information on using PANTONE Colors, see the related topics on the 
Tektronix World Wide Web server at http://www.tek.com/Color_Printers/.     

There are two ways to print the PANTONE Color sampler chart for your 
Phaser 300X printer:

Open the PANTONE

 Phaser 300X.pdf file in Adobe’s Acrobat 

■

Download the PANTONE

 Phaser 300X.ps file to the printer to 

print the entire sampler chart (about 46 pages in length); see 
“Printing the entire chart” on page 7-19.                       

Use only the None color correction option when printing the PANTONE 
Color sampler chart or when printing PANTONE Colors from 
an application.  Using any other color correction will cause PANTONE 
Colors to print incorrectly.

You can open the PANTONE

 Phaser 300X.pdf file in Adobe’s Acrobat Reader 

application, and print just the pages you want.  Make sure you print on 
paper for best results. 

When you install the Pantone Files from the printer’s CD-ROM, 
also install the Acrobat Reader Alias and the Printer Utilities option 
from the Custom Install window; see page 2-2 for instructions.             

Locate the Acrobat Reader Alias in the PhaserTools folder on your 
hard disk, and double-click the alias; the original source on the 
printer’s CD-ROM opens.
