Cisco IP Phone Agent 

The Cisco IP Phone Agent (Figure 4) provides essential ACD functions as a phone service on supported Cisco IP 

Phones; it is available as an alternative to installing Cisco Agent Desktop on the agent

’s PC. 

In addition, it is sometimes used as an alternative approach to provide agent services if the agent

’s computer or 

network fails.
