If you haven’t finished 
entering history, enter the 
account’s opening 
balance. History is 
discussed in Chapter 11.

revenues and expenses, see Chapter 5, “Setting Up Projects.”

account, fill in the Additional Info tab.

If you need to change the 
name of a field, in the 
Home window, choose 
Setup, System Settings, 
Names. Then enter the 
new name on the 
Accounts tab.

On the File menu, choose Save.  

 

 

If you file your corporate tax returns (T2s) electronically, you are 
required to assign a GIFI (General Index of Financial 
Information) code to each account. Your accountant or the 
Canada Customs and Revenue Agency can tell you more about 
GIFI codes.
